Finding the time to fit it all in

With all the labour-saving devices we have available to us nowadays, how is it that we’re still busy, all of the time? Wasn’t technology supposed to free us from the chains of manual work so that we were free to enjoy other pursuits? What sounds great in theory – like so many things – is often not reflected by reality. This is particularly true if you are a parent!
Anybody with kids will tell you that they can take up a great deal of your time. From the moment they get up in the morning, they demand your attention. You’re happy to do it, because you love them more than anything in the world, but it doesn’t leave you much time for anything else, does it?
The school day does offer some respite to get a few other things done, but with the Easter and summer holidays coming up, you’re likely to be on duty pretty much 24/7.
That means taking the kids with you wherever you go – unless you can find a sitter. That might just work when you’re doing the food shop – there’s only so much mischief they can get up to under your watchful eye at the supermarket – but you can forget all about clothes shopping. Leaving them to their own devices while you try a few things on in a changing room could be a recipe for disaster.
The internet is never closed for business!
That’s where technology, for once, really does step in to give you a break. When the kids are finally in bed and you get your first moment of the day to yourself, the high street shops might be shut but the internet is never closed. You can go online clothes shopping any time you like, and you don’t even have to worry about having change for parking.
With everything you need just a few clicks away, you can get all your shopping done in a fraction of the time – safe in the knowledge that the kids are tucked up in bed and far from any potential for mischief. For busy mums, online shopping is stress-free and can be a whole lot of fun. With quick and easy delivery, you’ll have your items before you know it. Now, if you could only find a minute during the day to try them on…
